Maritime Shipping is a physical process of transporting goods and cargo by sea. Almost every product ever sold has been affected by carriage of goods by sea. Much shipping is done aboard ships. Merchant shipping is an essential element to the world economy, carrying all the bulk of international trade. Ships are also among the most expensive constructions, and the largest man-made vehicles ever. Shipping used to designate shipping trade using wind powered ships, and has come to refer to the delivery of any kind of cargo.
